This memorial website was created in the memory of our loved one, Miles Babcock.
Miles Whitney Babcock passed away with his wife and family by his side on the evening of Saturday March 19th, 2022 in Chicago, IL. He is survived by his wife Camryn, parents Michael and Kimila, and his two brothers Spencer and Chris.
Miles was born in Mountain View, CA on May 15th, 1990. He graduated from Pioneer High School in 2008 where he made life-long friends Chris Sfreridis and Patrick Vickers and met the love of his life and future bride, Camryn Kelly. He then lived on a sailboat in the Berkeley marina while attending UC Berkeley. As a proud graduate of Cal, he always had something representing the golden bears nearby. After graduating with an Economics degree, he pursued and succeeded in a career in finance and investing. He then moved to a small beach town, Pacifica, CA with Camryn and their beloved dog Dova, where they spent most of their free time happily on the beach and in the waves. Shortly after Miles and Camryn were married in 2018, he received a promotion, which took him and Camryn on a new adventure to Chicago, IL.
Miles was known for going all-in on any endeavor he focused on. As a child, that meant hockey, with other pursuits like sailing, gardening, woodworking, mountain biking and backpacking, but fishing in all its forms stuck with him through it all. It didn't take long to know that under Miles' tough exterior was a huge, loving, and kind heart. His subtle acts of kindness and attentiveness to others' well-being was part of his daily life. Never a wallflower, Miles made his presence known in any group he was a part of. Easy to laugh and happy to jump in, Miles was always welcomed wherever he went.
He will be deeply missed by all those that knew him. An open house in Miles honor will be held in San Jose, California on Saturday, June 18th 2022.
