Bruce McDonald (1951 - 2015)

This memorial website was created in the memory of our loved one, Bruce McDonald. He touched so many lives with his positive and comical outlook on life. Bruce was a devoted father and grandfather (Papa the legend!), mentor to friends and family, motorcycle rider in the Patriot Guard, and avid fan of the San Jose Sharks just to name a few. Bruce was born in Sunnyvale, CA to Dorothy McDonald and Fletcher McDonald. He graduated from Fremont High School and received an associates degree from Ohlone College in Fremont and became a successful software engineer at IBM where he enjoyed a 26 year career. Bruce is survived by his loving wife, Diane McDonald; devoted children, Jasmine Early, Nathan LeDoux; siblings, Jim McDonald, Steve McDonald. His generous loving spirit will be missed by all who knew him. Friends and family are invited to a Celebration of Life will be held on Sun. Dec 20, 2015 1:00-4PM at 1 W Campbell Ave, Campbell, CA. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to at 4850 Union Avenue, San Jose, CA 95124. The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses in the ICU at Stanford Hospital and Dominican Hospital for their efforts.
